The Studio at Woodlands Pilates
While classes comprised of larger groups have become a popular compromise to one on one training, and can be rewarding if the client is at an advanced enough level not to hurt themselves, Pilates is most effective when performed as originally envisioned by Joseph Pilates, an individualized, integrative approach of mind, body and spirit. Where precision of movement through focused control, takes precedence over coreography. An approach optimally done one on one.
As such, the core of instruction at Woodlands Pilates is on individualized training, in a private training environment, focusing on proper execution of the Pilates technique and adapting exercise choices based on your specific needs, whether it be to help manage chronic pain; reduce the risk of injury; increase flexibility, strength, and power; improve posture and balance;or to simply flatten your abdominals and improve the way you feel, move, and look.
To enhance your private sessions, we also offer small Mat-Based Quartets. In order to remain focused on your individual needs, participants are screened and specifically selected to paticiapte in each ensemble. Our Quartets are approximately 45-50 minutes in length.
